Carl Rushworth (born 2 July 2001) is an English goalkeeper who rose to prominence after being released by Huddersfield Town at age 16, eventually signing with Brighton & Hove Albion in 2019. Following a series of successful loan spells—including a standout 2023-24 season at Swansea City where he won both fan and player of the year awards—he joined Coventry City on loan in 2025 and helped them win the EFL Championship title in 2025-26. That outstanding campaign earned him the Championship Golden Glove and a place in the Team of the Year, prompting Coventry to sign him permanently in August 2026 for a club-record fee of roughly £22.5 million. On the international stage, he made his England U21 debut in June 2023 and was part of the squad that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship that same year.
