Wealth Lab
Wealth Labs (WABS) is a sophisticated electronic trading platform developed by Dion Kurczek, Brett Corrigan, and Aristotle Varner and first released in 2000. Acquired by Fidelity Investments in 2004, it became known as "Wealth-Lab Pro" for Fidelity customers until the service was discontinued in August 2021. The software enables users to build and deploy automated trading strategies across markets like equities, futures, forex, and cryptocurrencies, using a proprietary C#-based scripting language called WealthScript, which also features a drag-and-drop interface for non-programmers. It supports a variety of data sources, unique chart types (such as Renko and Kagi), and sophisticated optimization tools, including Monte Carlo simulations. The platform's functionality can be greatly extended through community-built plugins, linking brokers like Interactive Brokers and data providers such as Binance or IQFeed. After Fidelity dropped the Pro version, the original team rewrote the codebase and independently launched Wealth-Lab 7 globally in March 2021, with the latest version, Wealth-Lab 8, now available by subscription.
