Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal (born April 2, 1975, in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean-American actor celebrated for his portrayals of complex, often paternal, characters. His family fled the Pinochet dictatorship when he was an infant, seeking asylum in Denmark before settling in the United States, and he later adopted his mother's surname professionally as a tribute. After years of small roles, Pascal broke out as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones (2014) and Javier Peña in Narcos (2015–2017). He achieved global stardom as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian (2019–2023) and Joel Miller in The Last of Us (2023–present), earning an Actor Award for the latter. His film career includes roles in Wonder Woman 1984, Gladiator II, and the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) as Mister Fantastic. Named one of Time's 100 most influential people in 2023, he has also received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, and made his Broadway debut in King Lear (2019).
