Paul Stephen Rudd (born April 6, 1969 in New Jersey) is a celebrated American actor who first gained fame in the 1995 comedy Clueless and later became a comedy staple with hits like Anchorman and Knocked Up. He is widely recognized as the superhero Scott Lang / Ant-Man in five Marvel Cinematic Universe films, from 2015's Ant-Man to 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and also starred in the recent Ghostbusters sequels. On television, he played Mike Hannigan on Friends (2002–2004), earned a Golden Globe nomination for the dual role in Living with Yourself (2019), and an Emmy nomination for Only Murders in the Building (2023–2025). Born to British Jewish parents, he studied theatre at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before debuting in a 1991 Super Nintendo commercial. He was included on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2019 and named People's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2021.
