Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell (born 22 May 1970) is a British model and actress who rose to fame as one of the original six "supermodels" of the late 1980s and 1990s. She made history as the first Black woman to grace the covers of Time and Vogue France, with the latter happening in 1988 after designer Yves St. Laurent threatened to pull his advertising from the magazine. Discovered at age 15 in Covent Garden, she became part of the iconic "Trinity" with Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista, and later starred in George Michael's "Freedom! '90" music video. Beyond modelling, Campbell has released an R&B album, acted in film and TV, and hosted the reality series The Face. However, in September 2024, she was banned from being a charity trustee in the UK for five years following a financial misconduct investigation, despite her long history of philanthropic work.
