Dean Butler (born May 20, 1956) is a Canadian-American actor and producer who is best known for playing Almanzo Wilder on the iconic NBC series Little House on the Prairie. After his four seasons on the prairie, he showcased his versatility by appearing as Buffy’s father on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, playing Jeff "Moondoggie" Griffin in The New Gidget, and originating the role of Rapunzel's Prince on Broadway in Into the Woods.

In recent decades, Butler has transitioned to working behind the camera as a producer and director of entertainment, sports, and documentary programming, including the Golf Channel show Feherty and documentaries inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder. He also wrote a memoir, Prairie Man: My Little House Life & Beyond, published in 2024.

He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Katherine Cannon, who he met during an audition for Father Murphy.
