Abigail Johnson

Abigail Johnson (born December 19, 1961) is the chairman and CEO of Fidelity Investments, the financial giant founded by her grandfather in 1946 and previously led by her father. After joining the firm in 1988 with an MBA from Harvard, she rose through the ranks to become president in 2012, CEO in 2014, and chairman in 2016. A defining move of her leadership came in 2018 when she introduced cryptocurrency investment at Fidelity, enabling institutional investors to trade Bitcoin and Ether, while also steering the company toward digital assets and new products. Her influence is widely recognized, as she has appeared on the Forbes list of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women every year since 2015, often ranking in the top ten. Beyond her corporate role, she holds an art history degree, is married with two daughters, and has made notable political donations to both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.
