Warhorse Studios
Warhorse Studios is a Czech video game developer based in Prague, founded in July 2011 by Dan Vávra and Martin Klíma. The studio is best known for the Kingdom Come series, starting with Kingdom Come: Deliverance (released February 2018), which sold over 6 million copies, and its sequel Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (released February 2025), which sold 1 million units in a single day and reached 4 million total by late 2025. In February 2019, the company was acquired by Plaion (formerly Koch Media) for €42.8 million. In early 2026, founder Vávra stepped back from day-to-day operations to pursue a film adaptation of Kingdom Come, handing management to Prokop Jirsa and Viktor Bocan. The studio is now working on two open-world RPGs simultaneously: another Kingdom Come adventure, and a Middle-earth game set in the world of The Lord of the Rings.
