The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is an annual event organized by the U.S. federal government, originating from President Barack Obama's "A New Beginning" speech in Cairo in 2009. The inaugural Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship took place in Washington, D.C. in April 2010, uniquely focusing on private sector entrepreneurs, investors, and civil society leaders rather than government representatives. Its core mission is to foster social and economic entrepreneurship, establish it as a key policy area, and strengthen global ties, initially aiming to deepen connections between U.S. business leaders and Muslim communities worldwide.

Since then, the GES has become a platform for global cooperation, expanding to host summits in diverse locations such as Istanbul, Dubai, Nairobi, Hyderabad, and The Hague.
