Hilaria Baldwin (born Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas on January 6, 1984, in Boston) is an American businesswoman, yoga instructor, and author, best known as the wife of actor Alec Baldwin, whom she married in 2012; the couple and their seven children star in the TLC reality series The Baldwins. Raised in a Spanish-speaking household with annual trips to Spain, she adopted the name "Hilaria" as she got older, and her mother was a physician at Massachusetts General Hospital while her father was an attorney. In 2009, she co-founded the New York-based yoga studio chain Yoga Vida, later releasing a prenatal yoga DVD in 2013 and the wellness book The Living Clearly Method in 2016. She also worked as a lifestyle correspondent for Extra starting in 2012, sharing a Daytime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Entertainment News Program. Notably, she faced a lawsuit in 2013 from a former student injured in her class, which was settled in 2014, and she received the Wellness Foundation's Illumination Award in 2017.
