Curtis Jones (born 30 January 2001) is an English midfielder for Liverpool and the England national team, having grown up in Toxteth, Liverpool, with Nigerian heritage. He joined Liverpool's academy at age nine, signed his first professional contract in February 2018, and made his senior debut in January 2019 against Wolves. In the 2019–20 season, he broke through spectacularly: he scored a stunning winner against Everton in the FA Cup (becoming the youngest Merseyside derby scorer since Robbie Fowler), became Liverpool's youngest-ever captain at 19, and earned a Premier League winner's medal. He continued to shine, scoring his first Champions League goal against Ajax in December 2020 and helping Liverpool secure the FA Cup and EFL Cup double in the early 2020s. Jones earned his first senior England cap in November 2024, scoring on his debut, capping a remarkable rise from academy prospect to international star.
