Dua Lipa (born 22 August 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian parents) is an English singer-songwriter whose name means "love" in Albanian, and she has become one of the most influential pop artists of her generation, winning seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards. After a childhood split between London and Pristina, she returned to the UK at 15 to pursue music, signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2014 and releasing her self-titled debut album in 2017, which spawned the global hit "New Rules." Her 2020 album Future Nostalgia became a cultural phenomenon, featuring the chart-topping singles "Don't Start Now" and the Diamond-certified "Levitating," and earned her the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
