Dan Wilson (catcher)

Dan Wilson (born March 25, 1969) is a former professional baseball catcher who currently serves as the manager of the Seattle Mariners. During his 14-year MLB career (1992–2005), he played for the Cincinnati Reds before being traded to the Mariners in 1993, where he spent 12 seasons and earned a reputation as one of the era's best defensive catchers, retiring with the highest fielding percentage in American League history. A 1996 All-Star, Wilson was inducted into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame in 2012 alongside his legendary battery-mate, Randy Johnson. Before his professional career, he starred at Barrington High School and the University of Minnesota, where he was a first-team All-American in 1990. After serving as a manager since taking over from Scott Servais on August 22, 2024, Wilson guided the Mariners to an American League West division title in his very first full season in charge.
