Isla Fisher (born 3 February 1976) is an Australian actress who was born in Muscat, Oman, to Scottish parents before moving to Perth, Australia, as a young child. She first gained fame playing Shannon Reed on the iconic Australian soap opera Home and Away (1994–1997), a role that earned her two Logie Award nominations. After relocating to Hollywood, Fisher became a familiar face in major films, including Wedding Crashers (2005), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), The Great Gatsby (2013), and Now You See Me (2013). Beyond live-action movies, she has voiced characters in animated features like Rango (2011) and Rise of the Guardians (2012), and appeared on TV in Arrested Development (2013–2019) and Wolf Like Me (2022). A talented writer as well, Fisher has published two young adult novels and the children's book series Marge in Charge. From 2010 to 2025, she was married to English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, with whom she shares three children.
