Kroy Biermann

Kroy Biermann (born September 12, 1985) is a former American football linebacker who played for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. His unique first name came from his mother, who searched a phone book for a "K" name to keep the family's all-"K" naming tradition alive. At the University of Montana, he recorded 32 career sacks (second-most in school history) and became the school's first recipient of the 2007 Buck Buchanan Award for the top defensive player in the FCS. Drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, his professional highlights include returning a Drew Brees fumble for a touchdown in 2009 and stepping in as an emergency kicker during a game against the Buffalo Bills that same year. He also made headlines in 2010 by tipping a pass, showcasing the athletic versatility he had developed in high school football, wrestling, and track.
