University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA)
UNCSA is a renowned public art school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, offering a unique blend of high school, undergraduate, and graduate degrees in various art disciplines. Established in 1963 by renowned composer Vittorio Giannini, it was the first public arts conservatory in the United States. The school boasts five professional schools: Dance, Design & Production, Drama, Filmmaking, and Music.
Campus and Facilities
UNCSA's 77-acre campus houses world-class performance and exhibition facilities, including the Stevens Center in downtown Winston-Salem, the ACE Exhibition Complex, Performance Place, and Watson Chamber Music Hall. The campus also encompasses eight residence halls, an on-campus apartment complex, a fitness center, and an extensive library.
Performance and Education
UNCSA provides ample performance opportunities for its students throughout the academic year, including dance performances, music concerts, and drama productions. All-School Musicals
Every four years, UNCSA produces a highly acclaimed all-school musical that involves students from all five arts schools. Past productions include "Brigadoon," "West Side Story," and "Oklahoma!"
